Google Indexing Like CRAZY!!!

Can someone explain to me why googlebot has not left my site in 3 days? Google has had a persistant connection to my site and have indexed close to 10,000 pages. I have been use to seeing Google show up once or twice a day and index periodicaly but, the damn thing has camped out it seems. I do not think it is part of their update, but I could be wrong.

    Anyone have a clue?

Google does this now an then on my site too. It seem from what I've read that this maybe part of the google deep scan.

Google looked through 1.5 million unique pages on my friend's site (last month alone) and yet to index any of the pages, even though it routinely takes 40000-60000 pages a day. Go figure.

Yes, they're making a deep scan and there're many changes in algorythms in recent years. That's why sites after 2004 don't get proper indexing usually.

1.5 million pages..unless this is a major retailer that would seem a bit excessive, and cause a problem.

You can make lots of pages for the search engine ....

does not mean the search engine will like the idea.

Read your server stats...it should have a section for robots indexing the pages of your site.

    Peace

Ah I'm not alone! For the past couple of days Googlebot has been hammering away at my site. Seems to have slowed down today though.

Google has used up more bandwidth than all the visitors to my site put together in 2 months. GoogleBot is becoming a crazy bot! It is indexing way too agressivly.
