Hello, Yesterday when I type: site:mydomain I get 100,000 results and today I only get 50,000 results. Is it that bad? I just purchased some links on a 38million competition keyword. Was this the reason? Thanks guys!
If you are seeing you more site in google the it is good for you . But what do you mean by "I just purchased some links on a 38million competition keyword. Was this the reason?"
I have no idea why it is good. I always have the impression of the more google index your site the better. I meant - I purchasde backlinks for a certain keyword that has around 38million competition.
I wouldn't panic too much - the site: query is notoriously inaccurate. Instead - what's happened to your positions and traffic? Those are far more important to monitor.
Definitely inaccurate but also just incase cuz i do this sometimes is with www is a lot different than without prior to domain.
You gotta see the indexed page in relation to number of pages you have. If you have have 100k pages and only seeing 50k now indexed then yeah, time for panic. But if those 100k pages consist as well of tags, keywords etc and not real pages then google may just applying duplicate content penalty for some pages on your site
Hello, Yeah actually it is very weird. I check the webmaster tools on my google account and I see all "GREEN" stats and ARROW UP in search queries stats.. in short it shows a good increase in SERP... but still the site:mydomain keeps going down.. it is now going around 45,000 instead of 50,000
