    Hi,
I don't know how google found my website on internet however I have never submitted it to google and have never posted any link anywhere on internet. Google indexed my coming soon page and my website is planned to launch after 1 month. I am afraid that this static with no content 'coming soon page' may discourage google to index my website in future.
    • Is my fear true?
    • Should I ban all bots through ROBOT.TXT?
Kindly suggest me the best thing that I should do now.:(

Are you using wordpress by chance?

If you are, it sends a ping automatically whenever you make a post. If it is a wordpress site, do a search on Google for Bogan Marketing...he has a blog, and hes a robots.txt you can download that's optimized for wordpress sites. Add that page to ur robots.txt file if you're that worried about it. I don't think you've anything to be afraid of though.

People don't even know about you or your site yet, so they won't be searching for it anyway.

@chetandhiman Don't worry about a thing. definitely don't start configuring a robots'txt file. You have nothing to hide, you have no content. Search engines are greedy for content. Websites, live with no theme or content can get index. All you need to do is carry on like you are. When your site launches make sure you have all your meta data squared away. Use Google's webmaster tools to remove the indexed url from their cue. UNLESS it's your homepage or URL you plan on using. If thats the case do worry about anything. Google will continue to crawl and update their index. Your Fine Bro

Yes you are thinking right just put the robots.txt and restrict you site from crawling by spiders till you will not complete your work.

according to me 3g logic is absolutely right you should give a no follow atribute to robot files an finish your site updations and then allow the crawlers with a do follow attributes.
