Submitted a sitemap on webmasters, and google says the pages are indexed. Then I go to index status, and it says there are 0 pages indexed. Whats going on here? Any help much appreciated
google site:yourdomain . if it shows up in the results than your site should be indexed. you can also use fetch as google. either fetch the whole site or just a page (url). If successful, submit to index. in the end, it all takes time.
if it's any consolation, I submitted a website a week ago with 30+ pages and it's shown little progress. Sometimes google is fast and sometimes they're slow. typically the latter.
Showing up in google for past few weeks, yet has been saying it isnt indexed for a few weeks. Any ideas?
as long as the pages are showing and no errors are coming back after fetching and across the board, all should be good. It's easy to worry about this kind of stuff, but it's typically something that's out of our control. I've had errors for weeks upon weeks show after i've corrected them. Google needs to clear their cache a little more
