site:www.domain.com will return how many page indexed by google. but when you clike to last page in serp, you will see page indexed number is dramaticly drop. usually from 2000 to 400. which is accurate? how many page index by google?
Yes, I've noticed that same phenomena. Very strange. Even when I click the "repeat the search with ommitted results" link, it still returns a smaller set on the last page from the number first stated. My personal guess is that last number is the number of results googles deems worthwhile or important. I think google has much much more hidden away that it will never show us, and I think the first page total is indicitave of that. Just my guess though.
Google does not show all links linking to the website, you can find better results, in webmaster tools.
I do not mean query BL. I mean indexed pages. Wayne Liew That mean, you click to view last page of serp. usually serp consist of more than one page.
