Google Index Issue

I had submitted my sitemap to google. Search engine is collecting the data properly and in very effective way.

But I have experienced an issue with the search. When I had checked my index records. Before a week I have checked the index pages those were over 2000. Then google had drop some links and their count decrease to 500.

Now again I have checked the index and google has records 2100 pages.

What is the case, any thing you want to comment on this and will guide me to fix it.

 

I think that's very normal however you should check if their any duplicate issue?

There are some duplicate links. But they are in minor number. Any other suggestion you can share.

 

If you try out to get one way links to the dropped pages or add more quality contents, there is good chance to get the page re indexed.

This can happen because of datacenter sync issues and as others pointed your indexed pages can go down because of duplicate content.
