Hi all, I checked Google's index to look at all the pages our site has listed in there and there are several pages that do not now exist or are not being used by our site and serve no purpose. Is there any way to get these pages out of the index? Most have been erased from our content management system already but we would like to removed the pages from Googles index. What are the best way(s) to do this??? Thanks, Rob
Set up some 301 redirects on the server for the removed pages and route them to alternative web pages. A 301 Rediect tells search engines etc that the page has been permanently removed. This is a good article for explanation: http://www.seotoday.com/browse.php/category/articles/id/477/index.php free online golf lessons - web site design london
Thanks for the help you guys. I'll need to do some research into this i think but thanks for giving me a place to start. Cheers, Rob
