Hi All, I have been trying to use Google In-Page analytics to monitor user behavior on our website www.QMetry.com for last 6-7 months. The issue that I have with in-page analyitcs is that it does not give the right stats on links that are present on more than one pages. For example, this link http://www.qmetry.com/free-trial is present on almost all pages of our website and is a call-to-action link for a free trial of our test management tool. I want to be able to see on what page the visitors were on when they clicked on this link, but google only tells me the total number of times it was clicked on the entire website, and does not give me a page wise break down . Does anyone know a workaround to this?
Hi, have you checked the "Inbound Source" section in in-page analytics report. It will summarize you how many click have you got to that particular page and from which page. Similarly the "outbound destination" section list the pages where your visitor has gone after leaving that page.
There are options in GA that tell you what page you were on when users came to your site and also to what page the users went to after they left your site.
My account is ALWAYS screwy. Statistics are only available for a week or so at a time, and then I get the "clock" icon and no more stats. Then I have to re-install the analyitics code on my sites.
You can click the source and the medium that in the traffic source overview. And change the secondary dimension , you can choose source, medium and landing page. You will see the result you want. Make use of it !!!!
