Google in other languages

I already have an adsense account which I use to display english ads on my website.If I want to display french ads on a french website can I do that from the same account.
If yes how do you do that?

 

Yes that can happen, there's nothing you need to do. Once your site has french content up, the adsense ads will catch on..

 

From what I understand from Google, you just create the site content in the language you want and then your ads should display but the option is there for language support in your adsense account.

 

Does this mean that I need to cahnge something in my adsense account before using the ads on another language site?

 

no, just put adsense code and google will do the rest, it is the same code for all languages

Alternatively you can also add this adsense tag:
google_language = "fr";

This won't force Google to display ads in French but will shift "Ads by Goooogle" to "Annonces Goooogle", for instance.

google TOS say we are not allowed to mess wit the code, I wouldn't do this without contacting google first

it's automatic, I have manly english speaking websites and I just recently did a new one in french and only french ads are displayed.

 

Yes, I tried it successfully:
Check my blog in french: www.pagasa.net
And my directory in english: www.wawa-directory.com

As far as I know there is no other way, meanwhile it seems the Adsense bot is enough clever to recognize the language. Meanwhile, I observed its a bit messy at the begining, during the first display of the ads. I have the feeling it takes a little time, lets say few hours and few bot crawlings, before having reliable ads related with the content of your site.
