    First try targeting long tail keywords. For ex instead of using "los angeles" try using "beautiful los angeles" so that you could get the idea.
    Use your targeted keywords in the image file name, alt tags, title. Share it in image sharing sites like flickr, pinterest, photobucket...

    For images one thing is more important to set effectively and that is the 'alt' attribute of the images. As 'alt' attribute only will suggest the search engine about what that image is. And be careful at the time of choosing title for your image as it is also an important term to make your image display in search results.

    Share your images with picassa and flicker. After some time you will be able to see your images in top 10 Google images search results.

    One of my site getting traffic from image (google image search) more than 2000 visitor/day.
    Just find rss feed services that accept media detail (image&video), then submit your feed to those site.
    It will blast your images around the web. Make sure you set the image's name related to that image not something else (fooling people just for seo is not good).

    Upload your image on high quality sites. Don't forget to use your name or your targeted keywords in image file, definitely you will see your image on first page in google image search.

    Two things are important alt tag and tittle tag for image seo. Both should include target keyword tittle should explain your image and same for alt tag.

    the alt tag and the title tag are two important factors for seo of an image, nd shuld include the target keyword title of the product.

    Hello,

    You need to follow some steps:

    Submit your image in Picassa
    Choose a proper Keyword in Alt Tag
    Use image in .JPG etc.

    Use it and your image get a good rank in Google

    use keywords in the file name like Using keyword-rich words in your image filename is important for helping search engines determine relevancy.
    create descriptive alt tag
    Use descriptive anchor text that describes the image
    make sure that images matches the content
    don't do keyword stuffing
    your alt text,captions,file name should be short and descriptive , not a long list of keywords.
