What all i should do to get my pics in google image search? And if I use the Gallery option in wordpress while displaying pics in my blog, will Google index those images? Because i have uploaded a lot of images through gallery in my blog and they are not coming in google image search? Please help me...
google will take its own time in indexing you. make sure you have proper SEO done for ur images. you'll notice changes in traffic in about 5-6 months if everything is in order.
I shud sit back n relax after uploading images? I uploaded them with proper relative filenames and captions...Is there anything else i should do?
Well, did you enable "enhanced image search" in Google Webmasters Central? I'm assuming by captions you mean alt attributes; don't forget content around the image also plays a role. Instructions to enable enhanced image search… 1. Login to Google Webmasters Central http://www.google.com/webmasters 2. Select this specific site in your dashboard and click on it. 3. Click Tools on the Left Handed Menu 4. Click Enhanced Image Search 5. Select the ratio and hit OK.
Add alternative text in the images if you want to get traffic from google. Without caption, it is not possible to get rank in the google images.
You don't have to do anything special to get your images indexed in Google. They'll be automatically indexed... but it takes some time.. usually 3-5 months. Be Patient!
I heard that you have to specify the image dimensions of each image to get them into image search and while uploading them in a gallery in a post, i dont see any option to edit this as all i see on clicking 'view html' is [gallery]. So should i avoid using galleries and select each pic and do an insert into post as thumbnail???.....pls help...
