Many of Google's closest shots are done via flyovers, instead of satellite. Flyovers are scheduled, thus Google knew when and where the shot would be taken. The shot was almost certainly not photoshop'd.
Yeah, there was all sorts of publicity stunts pulled on the last one in Australia.... ads on peoples rooftops, on open fields, etc
