Anyone have any ideas? my site: http://www.eugenef.com and am targeting "nature wallpaper" and "free wallpaper"
just continue to submit to directories... I suggest you also submit your deeplinks to social bookmaking sites that would really help your site be crawled by google.
Hi, I took a quick look at your site and i think you need to improve your keyword density: nature wallpaper 10 2.36% free nature 6 1.42% desktop wallpapers 5 1.18% free wallpapers 5 1.18% photography wallpaper 4 0.95% From what i understand about SEO is that you need a density between 5%-6% i have also looked at your meta keywords description: <meta name="keywords" content="nature wallpaper, free wallpapers, download, desktop, free, images, photos, digital"> 2 out of the five keywords are "two words" i.e. "nature wallpaper" its unlikely that a user will simply search for "digital" or "photos" without another phrase i.e. "digital photos". When i first started out i only targeted single keywords like "voip", "phone", "calls", "cheap" instead of "voip phone" and "cheap calls" what the user is most likely to search for and not such a broad one word keyword. Maybe give that a shot and see if your ratings improve on the next serp update.
Hi Eugene. I have to say, I really like your site. I think that possibly the fact that you are running adwords gives Google a fuller impression of your sites traffic. They know when your site is visited etc. I guess that now you are getting some traffic from here it can help. Good luck, but maybe make the adwords a little less intrusive.
Too many ads, and the 4 images at the top are just taking up valuable space. They don't help at all. Get the content up there!
It is a wallpaper site and visitors do expect images... One thing you can do is make ads less intrusive..those who are coming to your site should not feel that you are there for money..
I think you site looks very good. I just entered "nature wallpaper" into Google and you are on the first page of results, at number 9. Google seems to like you today. "Free wallpaper" has over 31 million competing sites, including sites like webshots.com so I would imagine thats going to be difficult to rank for. When I clicked on your "buy images" link it said "no images found" so that needs some work. Other people have mentioned the adsense units. Since you are selling your own product now do you really want Adsense on your site?
I love the design of your site. The adsense ads are placed in good positions and the color scheme blinds them in very well. You may now want to concentrate on getting lots of traffic. I saw some very good offers on the "Traffic Board". For instance 10,000 views for $5. Traffic also helps to move your website up on G placements. Here is a link. I hope it helps. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=756216
