Google does not give preference to any domain. .infos can rank just as high as .coms.

I say 100% true, I got proof, I had a website(got) watchinplainsight.info ranked real high on first page for the main keywords in the url, then someone bought the domain. They instantly got #1

Why would Google hate certain domain extension? The wouldn't be a very constructive way of doing business... if Google hates something then it's SPAM.

Sorry, but you are incorrect. Yeah, maybe Google did "slap" some .infos BUT it was not because they were .infos - that has nothing to do with it at all. It is about the content, backlinks and similar factors, NOT the tld.

I personally own several .infos none of which are spam

I have seen many many .com, .net, and even .org domains that were pure spam and crap.

When will people realize that the important things are quality content and relevant backlinks?

I admit that I prefer .coms because they are easier to remember and the general public is more familiar with them. Yes, there are advantages to a .com, but how the search engines "view" your site is NOT one of them

    You are absolutely correct

I think .com is preferred by most people, not only google. plus .info and .tv only parking page, not an active business.

It is true that Google may favor older .infos to newer ones, but the same is true for any other tld

They certainly don't care what the cost of the reg fee is, so that is irrelevant

Absolutely not true, tld has nothing to do with the rankings.... check out spain.info for example or austria.info.
I do own few .info domains myself and they are doing very good, just like the .com and .eu.

Google does not hate, they're all about love :)

Anyway, no, I don't think the have a bias for any given TLD, it's all a link/neighberhood question.

Just so you know, .tv is not media related.
.tv is for the country of Tuvalu, which has found a lot of profit in leasing it's domains to television stations.

If Google doesn't like .tv, it's because you're not using google.tv, since you're in America
