Hi guys, I've been going through these threads and couldn't quite figure out why my site still hasn't been crawled by google. The last time it's crawled was on august 24th and i've updated the page frequently. I've tried various different techniques of SEO and i know it takes about 5-6 months before you start seeing result but I didn't think it would take that long to crawl. Any idea how i can fix this? It shouldn't take that long to get crawled again. Google should visit frequently. Add your site to your signature and try getting some more links going to it. It should visit more often then.
Hey there, I would suggest submitting a sitemap to google if you have not already. Hope you figure it out. Sincerely, Travis Walters
Maybe it has crawled but it found difficulty. Have you checked your site with w3c html or xhtml checker for errors?
Make a sitemap and submit it to webmasters tool and also build some links. I believe this will help you.
I've added my site to multiple directories and started to get it noticed via blogs and such. Also, the sitemap has been added and the google webmaster shows it as success with only errors with the directories i block in the robots.txt file. Otherwise everything seems to appear in webmaster except for the fact that it says that it's last crawled on august 24th. Didn't make sense. How do i check for w3c html or xhtml for errors? I don't think i over optimized it . thanks, janvi
It should definitely not take that long, especially if you're writing new content often. Google comes back to my site at least every couple of days. Try submitting to directories. Go to http://addurl.nu which is a great directory submission site, listing hundreds of useful directories. Also implement internal linking in your blog, aka, link to other pages within your site. Send your sitemap to Google and try to get as many links possible for Google to find you by. Be sure you're not doing anything Google illegal.
