That would be the unlisted numbers. At this time what it appears is that it lists businesses and home phone numbers that did not opt to be unlisted - which can be a lot of home numbers that can be viewed. From what I am gathering it does Not cover 1. Outside the US (until other countries try, we wont know). 2. Cell/Mobile Phones 3. Unlisted numbers It only covers or affects those who 1. Listed Home phone numbers 2. Businesses 3. The US(unless someone outside the US tests it)
holly crap, thats scary. while it is interesting and can be a good technology, but it is scary if someone can enter my number and drive straight to my home. is it for Canda as well which is the same country code as US and has same format phone number? thanks for the info, wasn;t aware of it
Good to know this information, thanks. Not only does it give you directions to the location, but if you live somewhere (like I do) where they have streetview enable, it will bring up a picture of your house as well. Cool technology, but not a fan of this at all, especially since I have young children.
If that's not a privacy violation. In my opinion Google plays a dangerous game and is getting to be sued over things like this pretty soon.
