Google has updated links but I confuss

I have notice an update in my webmaster tool for links, it shows (16,286) but I only see 194 pointing to my homepage. Has anyone notice anything different?

Same at my side. Links (14,144) but i only see 488 pointing to my homepage.

 

Had a few numbers change around but not all to bad think its a run for new PR rankings soon I hope

Why it is happening like that?

 

This problem have been one of the most fashion problems for webmasters since some days ago. I think its a problem and its relating to Google program and it will be fixed soon. Dont worry about it. And to make yourself sure, you can check your backlinks by using Yahoo explorer too.

 

It is working fine for me no problems.

Yes. Previously i had only 3300 links now i have (203,927) Links with 13,962 Inner links.

 

It is only a glitch in my opinion. It is impossible for 6xxx baclinks jumped into a million overnight!! (1,xxx,xxx). That sounds crazy with 5xx,xxx backlinks pointing to my homepage. Should I glad? No

 

Same thing happened on one of my sites, the number of links has jumped to 200,000 or so. I think for once GWT is showing the total number of links taking into account sitewide links. I do not expect a jump in SERPs to accompany the hike in link numbers however.

 

Google's messing with the secret sauce. Odds things are happening because of the tinkering come out of the Caffeine project.

 

after increasing links my SERP rank decreased. When i was getting 3rd place on the 1st page of google now they drag me to the second page. And my site was in the 1st of second page now they are on 7th or 8th and some pages are after 10th page.

I have this problem after they update their links. Previously there is always 50 to 60 users online now hardly 5 to 10.
Any solution?

Seems it must be internal link.

I got confuss too, where these links came from?

 

Phew, I thouhgt it was only me who had this problem as number of links for my website increased 100 times overnight.

 

Mine has jumped from 150k to over a million. Though I would expect to have seen over a million in the first place, it's a massive jump from one update.

 

same here. I had 40k links last week now I have 1,851,152 links (Updated Jun 28, 2010)

 

Same here, now I have 192k of links. It is only a glitch.
