    I am the webmaster of the site indiapistonring(dot)com . The site was topping the ranks with keywords 'piston rings' and 'piston rings manufacturer'. Today, I found that the site is not only coming in first 10 but nowhere in top 100. How come this has happended suddenly ? Can anyone explain

    I could give u many, many reasons…. How about a better question – Why SHOULD it rank well?

    Anyways, Google has said more than a few times that you CAN be hurt by irrelevant outlinking to other sites. Have a look at these pages;

    http://www.indiapistonring.com/links3.htm
    http://www.indiapistonring.com/links4.htm
    http://www.indiapistonring.com/links5.htm

    Probably not helping the cause…

    Things in your link profile from sites like ‘3 Dollar Auto Paid Directory’ ‘China Depot – Links exchange page’ – wouldn't be my first choice - in general U need a more diversified Link Profile ( there is a lot of directories) – Also your recip ratio is a bit high for my liking.

    Also – the site is somewhat content light. Lot’s of charts. Beef it up – I’d say

    Yeah man, more relevant content. charts are crap, we need keyword rich articles, testimonials and other things.

    your link at the bottom to home. let it go to http://www.indiapistonring.com instead of http://www.indiapistonring.com/index.php

    almost all of your links are from directories and link exchanges. Get some incoming links from better sites. Start by setting up a squidoo lens and distribute some articles for better links. Don't do anymore reciprocal links for a while. And to only exchange links with sites that are related to yours, putting them in categories does not help you.

    Run this command thru yahoo: linkdomain:indiapistonring.com -site:indiapistonring.com . You links are dominated by low quality link trade pages. You need some real links - not links fabricated to manipulate the google rankings. This type of linking really ticks off Google, which is why they dropped your website.

    I suggest before doing and major changes on your site to wait few days to say if it is a glitch or not, I can t see your homepage in Google index at all which means most likely that it has been dropped (I think temporarily) so just wait until its back (Good to keep the link to site.com not site.com/index.htm as said above)
