    Hello

    22,350,000,000 pages

I don't know about you but knowing this makes me happy :D
Heres the link and phrase i used on 2007-03-11:

    **the*********

Maybe it will be removed so see for yourself when you still can.

and drop a line if you will do more.

I remember that last biggest google pages amount was little more then 25,000,000,000
when google allowed to search for *.* phrase but they don't allow it any more

Btw. if you would like to know how much GB it takes to have 22.4bln pages
(assuming that each page takes 10KB (text only))
    208.15 terabytes

    and cost:
    22 350 000 000 * (10 KB)) * ((US$ 0.3) / (1 GB) = 63 943.8629 U.S. dollars

    Thats achievable.:)

I have to be real bored to do this

thats an inacurate way to find the number of pages.

If you look at google in wayback before they removed the page count it was over 70bn pages.

    70 billion? No.

Last count was just over 8 billion.

And it is a very inaccurate way to count. Besides, what you really want is the number of non-supplemental pages... who cares about supps, right?

So, follow this pattern, and add em up as you go:

    [site:.com ".com"]
    [site:.net ".net"]
    [site:.org ".org"]

etc, doing 1 query for every tld out there. :D

Seeing as search results only go to 1000 the last time I checked, it is difficult to even get to most of the pages unless you are searching for very specific search terms.

Ips? i didn't knew, but it would be funny to know this data too.

Owww!. i had for a minute results showing 23,390,000,000 pages.

mvandemar- why not count supplemental results?

yeah, why **the********* brings more results then *the*?

... on the side: phrase +a OR *.* brings all results in bold:D
i bet even google engineers don't know about it.
