All my 3 websites ranking TOP on Google search for specific key words for the last 3 years are now marked by Google as "This site may harm your computer" Can anyone find me an answer? Anyway buddies, I will take it up with my web hosting company. Hope they will bail out my websites.
Your sites have most likely been hacked. Common causes and how to prevent it happening again are in my signature links.
Check your site's source code for any new code. Did you insert any new piece of code? Were you hacked or compromised? Try and find out the answers yourself.
If you search the forums, you should find previous threads on this topic. A good place to start reading though is here: http://stopbadware.org/home/webmasters The warnings on Google are provided by those folks.
First you should check your site to confirm there are no virus, trojan, malware and spyware in your site. If your site is ok, the mark will soon removed by google automaticly in next update. If the situation continue for 1 month, ask your hosting company for assistance .
Create a google webmaster account and add and verify your site You will then probably receive message that this site is marked as spyware etc .... Then submit a request saying that thats not true yada yada ...and wait
steve you got very nice information on website. It was very useful for me! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
Using free java code found on the internet usually results in this happening. What I suggest is that you remove all your java code. I don't know of any way of getting rid of the message other than contacting google which takes forever. The sad part is that you might have to start over with a new domaine name and or hosting. Remember that nothing is really free. Especially when it concerns free code lying around on the net. Since free java is not hosted on your own server you cant really see what the code is doing in the background. It may be a portal for hacking sites inserting trojans in visitors computers or even a proxy back entrance.
Another poster mentioned that you should patch up the vulnerabilities (including CHMOD to remove write restrictions, changing your passwords, and virus scanning your dev box for info stealers), fix your site, verify your site in Google Webmaster Tools, and apply to have the warning removed. They will actually process this within 24 hours by my experience. If you are using Wordpress as a CMS, you should check out the Exploit Scanner plugin. It works well.
remove any maliciuos sofware or script , probably may be javascript code in your site, if you found remove it and your bann will be removed
