Of course, the actual code is of much less value than the underlying algorithms. But it's still cool.

I am shocked that you are shocked . Yahoo has Pr 9-10 . It is obvious that google search engine will give it weight. OK yahoo search engine is a comp. to google search engine but that does not mean that I cannot use my competition to Improve my services.
“B.O.â€, http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/ A well known Google Developer says that SEOs did have an effect on BL update policies - however
Wow, this thread is old. But it will probably go on for a while, the issue of Google vs. seo tactics doesn't seem to die ...
Yeah this thread is old did you see the views over 3,000 cant remember the exact number. Anyways I have given up on Google if I get listed, I get listed. I just gotta keep doing what I am doing and hopefully one day, that doesnt seem to be in the very near future I may get listed on Google for my keyword, like on page 75, or ranked #299, and I would even be happy with that. Ha Ha! See ya! E'Lisa
<!-- Load BS --> Fiction: A competitor can ruin a site's ranking somehow or have another site removed from Google's index. Fact: There's almost nothing a competitor can do to harm your ranking or have your site removed from our index. Your rank and your inclusion are dependent on factors under your control as a webmaster, including content choices and site design. <!-- End BS --> <!-- begin sarcasm --> hey, since there is nothing anyone can do to wreck a competitor ... nobody will mind me spam blogging and refererrer spamming their domains through a proxy then. <!-- end sarcasm -->
You're right on. Unfortunately for Realtors, many of the website design and hosting companies used canned sites, often with frames. My real estate colleagues pay $40 to $50 a month for worthless sites because someone says they need a web presence. With at least 60% of the Realtor sites having very poor design, it allows spammers with a clue to get in on top.
I have several informational pages on my site which link only back to the home page and also are unlike the other pages in the site as they are htm and html pages versus the php pages that constitute the catalog and shopping cart, etc. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether I would be well advised to go ahead and retrofit these htm and html informational pages (like FAQs for example) with navigation bars thereby making them link back and forth to the rest of the site's pages? Is this worth doing? Again as they are now, there is only a 'home' link at the bottom of each. Is this anything to worry about in anyone's opinion in terms of getting indeed by Google?
It comes as no surprise as Google have had to up their game to compete against folks trying to beat their algorithm and vice-versa
Lol, I thought this was a new post! Look at the date: Apr 2004. 7 years later and it's still the same old story... building anchor text backlinks to get higher SEO rankings for your website simply WORKS
