Google has announced to aquire Panoramio

    Google has planned to aquire Panoramio.com posted by John Hanke, Director for Maps on May 30, 2007.

    Panoramio, a website based in Spain that links millions of photos with the exact geographical location where they were taken.

    even I've never Heard of Panoramio.com :confused:
    but surely it is something to do with Photos ;)
    anyways donno whats so special in it obviously there is something it it.. thats why Google.com acquired it :p

    I've added to Panoramio, and noticed that it takes about 2 months for an image to clear - or did.

    Odds are that Google has the resources to get the site up to near real time.

    I like Panoramio, but would like to see images added the same day.
