Google has announced to aquire Panoramio

Google has planned to aquire Panoramio.com posted by John Hanke, Director for Maps on May 30, 2007.

Panoramio, a website based in Spain that links millions of photos with the exact geographical location where they were taken.

first time i come to know abt this site. must be a gr8 site.. otherwise google wont talk abt acquisition.

 

I have not heard of the site before but when I think of the idea , it is real nice and unique.Good work is always respected.

I've added to Panoramio, and noticed that it takes about 2 months for an image to clear - or did.

Odds are that Google has the resources to get the site up to near real time.

I like Panoramio, but would like to see images added the same day.
