I voted that it is real. Maybe that was their motive, to do it on april fools day so everyone would think it was a joke Im not sure. I always expect the worst lol.
Coincidently, Shoemoney's blog had a similar "incident" a couple of hours ago. Come on guys, this can't be real.
Could someone please explain to me the relation between duplicate content and a site being taking over? I mean, what does one thing have to do with the other?
About Dark SEO Team... it's seems like they have around 100,000 invalid/auto generated pages indexed by Yahoo ... also they ... have pages full of AdSense on non content pages!!!!! http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...eam.com&bwm=p&bwms=p&fr=sexp-rd&fr2=seo-rd-se http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.co...com&bwm=p&bwmf=a&bwms=p&searchbwm=Explore+URL .... Now check out their content page... http://www.darkseoteam.com/search.php?q=jeux+francais I really doub it's a bad joke anymore!
From my point of view: fake A little detail: the text written in French is a non sense. "nous sommes le proprietaire de toi" litterally "we own you" doesn't sound really french. Regards Thibaut
Too humourous for hackers... [edit] oops just realised I was thinking of Shoemoney's site...ignore me
Well since posting in a full URL like this www.mattcutts.com/blog/ramping-up-on-international-webspam Redirects you to the home page I am going with another stupid Google prank.. What gets me if Google screws around there is now repercussions but let a couple of guerrilla marketing guys post a stupid prank in Beantown... and the legal system wants to slam them with a $1,000,000.00 fine.. Something is wrong with society....
Once again, please. Can anyone get in at http://www.darkseoteam.com ? I get a forbidden error. If someone has caught on and gotten the hosting suspended or something, wouldn't that prove that this is real indeed?
No, it is not hacked. It is a Aprl Fools joke. No , I can not get to http://www.darkseoteam.com/, it is :
davenator = DaveN, scbl = Robert Scoble, etc... Looks like this is Matt's April Fool's joke for this year, what I am not understanding is the use of 302 redirects (looks like redirectmatch in the blog folder) with all the real DarkSEO Team stuff pointing at him. But then, many pages are not showing a cache... http://72.14.209.104/search?q=cache:http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/ Maybe that will keep him from losing any rankings and such.
That's a dc glitch. Started happening a few days ago I think. Maybe yesterday. The caches are still there, just misplaced. Do a site: search on his site using that dc and you will see snippets but no cache link... do it from Google.com and you will see the cache links, but they will be broken in some cases. -Michael
