    I'd totally agree with this comment, all these bloggers will post a link to the website, and Google will browse them and add all those new links back to Matts blog therefore increasing his already high rank.

    If I tried the same thing, I wouldn't benefit from it one bit. Why else would all the popular sites do something like that, to get even more backlinks.

    I don't see it is hacked.

    You can see that everything on the page is changed but NOT one thing... thats google analytics code at the end..:D They also wants to see what (and where) people are talking about this APRIL FOOL. :D

    Edit: You can see the their old urcin (google analytics code) in the cache of google.
