Im interested to know how much google is growing by every day, im pretty sure it would be several hundred TB's... If anyone has some statistics of how much google grows by per month or even per day that would be great
Google is growing at such an exponential rate, that soon enough they will start storing search engine data on a partition on your personal hard drive because there isn't enough land available in the world to store all of their servers. This will lead to much quicker search results, and will let you access the search results while offline. However, without an internet connection you will only be able to browse the results, and not navigate to the designated web pages.
Nope, they will then take advantage of your compromised system to embed a key logger into everyone's systems in which they will use to steal government documentation, as well as personal credentials. With said aquired information, Google will potentially take over the world with the wealth of knowledge and money they have stolen directly out of our hard drives. /end sardonic rant
Well Google keep improving and adding their services like the cellphone Nexus One and the Chrome OS but of course those doesn't guarantee most people to stick with google products since there are already established companies, so the growth will not but still worth for a company with almost all people need.
Correct. Google is expanding their horizons and markets quickly. With their addition of the Nexus One and Chrome OS as well as the Chrome Browser, they are venturing into other markets and have the economic stability and backing to succeed in the market place. Google is becoming even more of a big player than ever before, and is moving away from just being the king of the internet. In addition to Nexus One, their entire Android Operating system is a marking stone of its own. ---- Google is also venturing into other markets such as Internet Service Providing (ISP). They have planned small test networks in specified locations that will have a network connection of 1GB/Second. That is crazy fast. A connection capable of such transfers opens up posibilites never before seen. http://www.informationweek.com/news/storage/portable/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=222700747 --- Google has also been granted the ability to buy power at wholesale prices from power plants and distribute/sell it to consumers. Wether they will resale to consumers is unclear, but they now have the ability to power their servers and facilities on electricity at wholesale prices. http://247wallst.com/2010/02/19/google-the-utility-the-conglomerate/ --- There has also been rumors around the internet of google making their own tablet. Honestly, I wouldn't call it a rumor as it is bound to happen and their tablet will likely blow the rest of them out of the water. They would partner with HTC in development, the same company they partnered with to create and manufacture the Nexus One. ------- Hope this fix of google-news helps you in understanding the super-business Google is and is becoming. They are growing more rapidly than ever going into the new year and will continue to do so as they venture away from internet search specialization. ...until the government shuts them down anyways for destroying markets. It is a possibility in the future, unless they get their hands into the governments pockets and visa versa which is a viable possibility down the road.
I think that with voice and buzz and nexus, the company will gain market share in all of these 3 areas...
Storing search engine data on a personal hard drive is logically impossible and a good example was some program back in the day stored all of your popular searches. However that tumbled onto its feet and chipped its teeth - The data got too big. I cant remember the name of the application but i know it failed epicly. Google has plenty of space available for new data. Oh right, so googles going to steal billions of computers data instantly? With super computer powers? pfft. sif. Your sense of assumption that google is going to take over the world is a bit over the top. I dont see why google would want to take over the world when they can simply sit there advertising the right ads to the right viewer and they make more money than taking over the " world " and doing an epic fail. Google is not malicious, it wouldn't turn malicious either. Why would google turn malicious? lol.... Google have had their own ISP running for a while, afaik they have investments in AT&T and T-mobile. They already provide VPN's / closed routes for staff, so starting an ISP image is only one step of the many.
I think the exact percentage and calculations of the expansion of Google in this world is only with their CAs. We might get a figure on the end of their finance year, which also might not be a correct figure.
Google's index is not growing. They are doing the impossible to store less data and increase revenue. Google is a big ponzi of data. While half your site's pages are gone from the engines, mine are up and viceversa. They are tricking you. They will never be able to store all the world's data.
