Google’s long drawn ambition of having its own social networking website seems to finally achieve fruition. The Google + is ready for web users to explore and register at. Its user interface seems familiar to regular social network users but would take some time getting used to. Some features seem to be bold modifications of those on Facebook. Though there are some pleasant introductions on part of the strategy team as well. Google + users will find it easy to add people and then put them into standard and customized groups. User privacy has been given a lot of importance, with all those visiting a profile being highlighted promptly. End users will be able to filter messages and updates by category. The Homepage has a list one can click down upon and get selective views for each friend group. Google has put 4 navigational buttons here, Home, Photos, Profile and Updates. The Homepage allows users to make chats through Google Talk or video chat, the latter through ‘Hangout’. ‘Hangout’ is again being said as an answer to ‘Skype’. Its privacy controls and selective group communication tools are very impressive, better than what most others have to offer. This is just the beginning. More modifications will be made by Google to the Google + in the coming weeks.
I'm giving away Google+ invites to who ever takes part in my contest In my sig... (I don't understand that bit of the rules. Is it no THREAD TOPICs about invites. or is it no invites to torrent sites... I'll need to clarify.)
I am really impressed by Google+ . The hangout feature is cool and better than the shitty facebook version. The circles are cool too. I can block certain contacts from viewing my status updates by putting them in different circle and editing it's permissions. And the layout is clean. Above that, there are no idiotic applications around, makes it just better. PS giving invites if you need. Just pm me.
Also think Google+ is an intermediate of Facebook.. Still testing it out and learning about it.. it'd be interesting to see how this will help with our site over time.
I think this would be useful guys... The complete Google+ Cheatsheet! have a look! technostreak.com/infographics/the-complete-googles-cheetsheet-infographic/
I'm waiting for any opportunity to signed there. I've no invite and want to register for Google +1 no solutions. Just Invites.
Why didn't Google start a joint adventure with Facebook instead of creating something similar but with some different features. If FB,twitter, dribbble,Google got together and create a giant social network there will be no company standing a chance of succeed in the social media industry...think about having one login to FB,twitter,Google, dribbble, it's so convenient to manage, and most people who have access to Internet will be a part of that community, isn't that cool? Just throwing some crazy thoughts here
because of the competition, risks, hoping to take a bigger share of the market and eventually getting it isn't the same, it takes a lot of planning, experiment, effort and may turned out to be a waste of time. Businessinsiders just reported that 10 million are using Google Plus but most don't visit very frequently, unlike FB, I personally check my FB every two hours and I know people who check even more frequently, it takes a lot of time to read through people's status and watch cool videos, but would people who use FB also check as frequently on Google Plus? I don't know and I'm just as curious as everyone else, can't wait to see what this battle is going to be like!
