Hello... Yea they do that every once in a while... but woke up this morning (breaking up a cat fight after they destroyed everything) and half my backlinks disappeared Google isnt like yahoo that picks up all links so no biggie, traffic is still rolling strong thx malcolm
External links are 100% considered as links from other sites to yours. Backlinks is more general definition, including external links and links from your site to your site too.
Google Bots doesn't know whether it is your site or others it will simply search the links and calculate the page rank so only it is showing your link as backlink!!
I guess this google dork shows all the links from other sites to my site. I never saw internal linking in the results ..
It wont show same as Yahoo Site Expl... If you want to know whos linking you then Yahoo site explorer is great choice. Anyways Google is joke now a days....
That's just normal. You can see a lot of squidoo lenses getting backlinks from another squidoo lenses.
It happens to almost everybody my friend, It's will go out gradually and don't worry it's nothing. Goodluck.
Hey check out googles webmaster tools. It distinguishes this more. However if your settings for your site in the tool is www.url.com, then links from url.com (no www) will show as external, and visa-versa
High pr site backlink is always good for your site, it will be awesome if that website is related to your website theme
Generally, backlinks are considered from "external" sites (which could be subdomains of your main site), but occasionally, "internal" links will show as backlinks - but this is a "good problem".
lol, am sure your working for them it's not a problem, if your website inner pages have some backlinks pointing to them, they will have an extra linking value than other pages in your site (Deep Linking) so it will be considered as a quality link comparing it to a normal page in a sub category in your main categories page... etc... Wish i was clear and helpful
