Google is not broke and did not bounce a check. I suspect the depositor did not have sufficient funds in his account to cash the check. He can deposit it and wait for the check to clear before being able to withdraw.
nope... story is in another thread it seems legit... and toby... your statement makes no sense what so ever the check was bounced, it had nothing to do with his account
it is an A/C payee check so no one can possible to cash directly and why does the payee needs sufficient or any funds in the bank well the article link is not working
Funny story. While Google may not have had funds in that account, I do not think they are going broke.
The check did not "bounce". In this follow up post the writer admits that he wanted to cash the check - not deposit it. "I tell Scott [from Google] this. I don’t want to deposit the check. I want to cash it and use the cash for a down payment on a car." He eventually cashes the check at Wells Fargo and says that he will cancel his Adsense account until Google reveals its revenue split with customers. http://mobilejones.com/2007/07/17/google-adsense-nonsense-final-chapter/ .
