I was in Gmail and did a "View Image" on the first smiley of Gmail's and something surprising came up: http://mail.google.com/mail/e/_default.2.s It doesn't do that with the other smilies. How does Gmail link to that single smiley when it is lumped together with all the other ones? I notice it does it with some smilies but not all. http://mail.google.com/mail/e/gtalk.2.s http://mail.google.com/mail/e/338 Very strange.
http://mail.google.com/mail/e/338 <<---- Just keep increasing this number ull get single smilies . I Mean like keeping 1 to 338
Correcting the number, http://mail.google.com/mail/e/1 - don't work and you have to make the number in three digits: http://mail.google.com/mail/e/001
Google does similar trick in their search results page too. It must be faster image loading. http://www.google.com/images/nav_logo7.png
It's called "CSS Sprites" i do this also it reduces the number of http requests and speeds up page loads.
