Google giving credit to another site for my images

i have a site that gets great image search traffic.

i have disabled hotlinking so when someone tries to steal my images and pull them from my server, it doesnt work.

that being said, lets say i do a google image search for "X"

another site will appear for my image and when i click on the image, their site loads. google's image URL is still my address, and the image does not actually appear on this other site...but they still get the traffic.

between 1 week and 3 weeks later google will realize its my image and give me credit. is there a way to stop this from happening or shorten the time that google takes to realize its my image? my traffic would literally skyrocket if this did not happen.

the image is in your website thats true, but the one who is hotlinking it is a better SEO optimist, live with that or read more about optimizing your images.

Check this for optimizing your images "Having the alt tag describing the picture, you should name the picture under the keyword you want it to be found" check for more details here.

And I was helping, again "read more about optimizing your images".
    Here is a tip:
    Alt tags.
    Image name and path.
    Thumbnail or full image.
put those tree and try to figure out what he did, then do it.
