I think Google gives more importance on Social Media website, because Google also launched his Social website Google+. So its say share your website information on social media website and get good ranking and traffic results in Google.
Yes bro i am agree with your saying. Just share any of your content in popular sites in social media such as facebook and it will be indexed quickly.
I've noticed this. There is an acne website which has an inbound link from a facebook account about acne, that is poorly maintained I might ad, and appears to be doing well from it. The same site has many russian private network inbound links too, which I hope google jumps on, if they haven't already.
Pretty sure they have made public that this is the case. And they are forcing G+ down everyones throats, so you can bet that having +1's is going to be vital in the near future, if it's not already.
Google definitely WANTS to give a lot of importance to social media, though it's not clear how much importance they are giving to it right now. One of the biggest problems that they face is that most social sharing happens on Facebook, and Google can't crawl a lot of what goes on on private profiles. They created Google+ in order to own more of the social data themselves, but adoption has not been great. They certainly want to be able to use Google+ shares as a ranking signal, but it might only be a weak signal until they hit some critical mass of sharing activity. Google has been very confusing in explaining what they count and don't count in terms of social signals. Many people believe that getting links on Twitter helps them rank. This may be true, but Google has publicly said that they aren't putting any weight on Twitter links because twitter adds rel="nofollow" to their links. "they chose not to renew their agreement with us last summer, and since then we have observed their rel=nofollow instructions" - Eric Schmidt. I never fully trust Google's PR statements, so make of that what you will.
Yes, Google gives Importance to social media sites like Google+, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter. The social media sites generates a lot of traffic to the website and improve the ranking of the websites in Search Engine.
bacause of google afraid facebook, and maybe to tell us googleplus is more important than facebook if you work on g+ it effect on your pagerank. but work on facebook just made backlink for you becuse google is owner of g+.
i putted articles of my site into g+ and facebook and see putting on g+ affect seo but in facebook not more important. also it is by google robots eye. maybe in aol and bing yahoo is different.
hi friends I would like to tell you all that Google gives importance and weightage only to high-quality and unique content. All what matters to how good and unique content and backlinks the particular website has. Social media sites have good PRs because the content people add on these sites are unique and not duplicate. So, the golden rule to get benefited from Google is to create high-quality and unique content for your website.
No doubt, social media have influence on Google in our days. If they aren't playing a huge part in Google's algorithm now, they certainly will in the future. Those that don't have a social media presence will be left behind SMO and SMM!
Even though social media puts you on front foot, don't forget to quality content, Its more important than the social bookmarking and social media promotion for SEO.
Social Media is the new generation SEO.Without it you're doing nothing.I also think Google will step back in some point cuz Social Media is growing faster than Google.
Google is getting too hard and unpredictable in these days. And it's losing it's simplicity day by day. I see more irrelevant results dominating SERP and it's getting hard to promote as well. More likely the harder it gets, the lesser it will be weighted. I can see a bump in Yahoo, Bing is also advancing slowly and the last but not the least Facebook is getting in the search game as well. I hope this does not hurt IM too much as I can see lots of people leaving IM and it's not good for the industry. If there is no money to be made or if it's only for the big players then the industry has to die for sure. I know a few guys that are professional in this trade are looking for other means to drive traffic rather than Google only. I don't know if this means something important or not but it ticks me up.
I think you're right. its because of google+ thats why they focus more on social media. maybe they want to beat facebook and make google+ number 1 so they focus more on social media.
