Today I checked my webmaster tools and found that Google donated one of my site with 96 new sitelinks! 12 new subpages each with 8 sitelinks. The site now has 16 pages (including homepage) with 8 sitelinks each (7 on homepage). Incredible. I wonder if it has an impact on Google traffic.
Congrats! How do you gain it? Getting site links from Google is to get more traffic and readership. Best of luck for future as well
Hmmm.. Do you mean google link to your pages? If so, that is really worth a cheer buddy. IMO, providing link bait content would allow a painless task for you to get those quality backlinks you've ever wanted. Having said that, try adding some more informative and useful content and get that initial number tripled.
you do mean sitelinks and not inbound links to pages? 16 pages, with all inner pages showing sitelinks does sound pretty unusual? where do the sitelinks for the inner pages point to, just all the other pages? - is it the same 8 pages that are always linked to? we have a particular interest with sitelinks and how to get them, so any further info gratefully received
According to google webmaster tools: Pages with Sitelinks updated 08.25.2010 homepage: 7 sitelinks subpage1: 8 sitelinks subpage2: 8 sitelinks ... subpage 15: 8 sitelinks each sitelink pointing to another subpage of the subpage.
ah ok sorry, not 16 pages total, 16 pages with sitelinks. how old is the site, pagerank, linkcount etc?
This is really a good news for you. At least, for me, I find that it is really a difficult task for most people to gain as many as quality backlinks.
Not really unusual. Check these Yahoo games Yahoo finance And so on. Almost all yahoo sections have sitelinks of their own. @ OP - congrats for the achievement. Google has rewarded you for your hard-work. Besides I found your site -- is it in your second siggy --- the juggernart.com? I checked some sub-categories and they have sitelinks of their own.
you what? they're subdomains, not sitelinks? these are >>sitelinks<< edit sorry, I just tried the search using gl=us, the Yahoo sitelinks dont consistently show up outside the US, but they obviously do over there. but sitelinks for domain name searches are as you say pretty common, am much more interested in getting them for non-domain related kws and anyway, wouldn't you say that what Yahoo does is probably out of range for most normal sites? @ the OP again, what do they show up for? at home level, can you get them to show in the SERP for keywords unrelated to the domain name? and again the same question for sub pages? if not what kind of searches will they show up for on subpages?
It's great and a sign of making progress considerably over the net. Google has rewarded you with those hard to grab inner links which can be great to add authority to the domains. It can be predicted that your web traffic plus rankings too would get improved soon.
Wow it is great but it is not only google link it will show all. You should check link:domain it is very important.
