Google Frustration With Spam Sites

So I normally do not vent, but I have to ask some of you who have had some moderate success with their websites a simple question.

To get your site noticed quickly are you guys spamming or what?

Here is why I asked this question. I have a website that has been up for about 9 months. I am doing moderately well and average about $500 dollars a month in income. However, I have worked my butt off writing articles, posting in forums, and building content. I have around 220 pages and a PR2 currently.

What has me frustrated though is another website owner who uses the same webhost (SBI) and same topic has blown me away in only 6 months.

Now if it was because he worked hard I would be able to take it, but after trying to figure out how he did it I found he is a spammer.

First issue I found was he used stumble upon and somehow created over 200 profiles either by himself or friends and family and stumbled is own website 212 times in the past 6 weeks. Just stupid screen names to like he was just tapping the keyboard or something and even uses the same location for each profile. Finally some girl on stumble upon called him out as a spammer but she was the only one.

Second issue was he uses yahoo answers like crazy, and just puts small stupid comments and then leaves his link. Now he is in the top 10 for his category. Plus he then either goes back himself or has someone else go vote for his answers to make them the best answer. He has more best answers than normal answers. (67% Best Answers and 32% Regular Answers) I mean come on the top contributer to that category only has 47% Best Answers.

So now he has a PR4 in less than 5 months and plus all 94 of his pages are indexed by Google in the main index not even the supplemental. Urgh! His website is also very basic, no photos no nothing, just text and Google adsense.

I guess it is frustrating when you try to do something the right way and struggle month after month, and then someone who knows how to spam shoots right by ya.

Also how can Google allow a site to jump like that with such obvious spam links. I mean if I can figure it out in about 15 minutes shouldn't Google be able to?

    Report the spam to Google.

Perhaps you could take a leaf out of his book at start posting on Yahoo! answers?

Buddy I agree with your viewpoints regarding this spamming menace. See if you suspect search engine spam, here are the email addresses to report them. You can also use these addresses if you suspect your site has been penalized for spamming, or if you wish to dispute a spam penalty.

    Google: or
    Inktomi:
    AlltheWeb.com (FAST Search):
    AltaVista:

    Hi there

Its very annoying when you see things like this happening, the thing is you have to let it go, i look at sites all the time that are complete rubbish using dodgy ways to get to the top of serps, it will catch up with them eventually.

Its best to just concentrate on ur own site, keep doing things the right way, it will pay off in the end !

Like some of the people have said above report them as well !
