Google friendly VS user friendly <title>

I'm making a website with someone and we have come to a slight disagreement. Let's pretend we want to make a website with the key phrase "One Two Three" and our website name is "somenumbers.com".

I think that the <title> for that page should be:

    One Two Three

This other person thinks it should be something like, with the site URL or name in the <title>:

    One Two Three - SomeNumbers.com
    or
One Two Three | Some Numbers
    or
    Some Numers: One Two Three
    etc.

I was arguing that having more words in the title that aren't related to the page and would be harmful to SEO. However, he thinks that having the site name in the title would be better for the user and get search engine click from people who already know the site. I would disagree with this and say that search engine visitors would be mostly new to the site and would look at the URL, but we really can't seem to agree on this one.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I use the site name at the end of the page title.

For brandable sites, I think it's good practice.
It's easier to remember the site and if a page is bookmarked, the user will not only read the page title which sometimes is not very descriptive but also the site name.

From a SEO standpoint, I don't think having the site name (at the end) is a big handicap if the page title is relevant to the page topic.

But there is pros and cons...

To me, the following is both Google friendly and user friendly:

    One Two Three - SomeNumbers.com
    Code (markup):
First, it enables the user to know which site it is if they bookmark it for future reference. Second, it will helps greatly if your domain name contains your targeted keywords :)

Yeah, it is good to have your website in the title, so people know, as noted above, what it is they bookmarked, and it is both user friendly and google friendly

Yes, I use the second option too, first keywords then domain name, and I'm pretty sure that's not bad for SEO :p

Thanks everyone for your replies! I will definitely put the site name at the end of the page titles. Thanks for the help.
