I am a noob in programming so I'd like to ask if the menu on this page is just the same as a simple text links for Google. Is it ok to have that kind of links in the main menu for SEO?

As far as your menu is not over-cluttered shouldn't be any trouble.

Yours is fine and overall looking of your site is neat.

The markup is heavily cluttered for something which is extremely easy to achieve. I would take a look at basic HTML list menu's and go from there. You can recreate your current look using 12 lines of streamlined code (and thats with placing each link on its own line!).

The best choice menu are UL and LI elements. It is simle and and good for seo. Try http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/ it is small and good code for menus. Use too new methods page rank sculpting and be happy.
