i have seen that blogger posts are indexed in google faster than wordpress posts. sometimes instantly.

has anyone else noted this? is google favoring blogger the most?

Let me get the facts right -
Blogger.com is PR 10 page , so the sub domains get a very high priority for indexing .
After the initial crawl the crawl frequency is comparable to any normal site .

    I think so too....

it is bad because there is alot of spam and spamblogs in blogger... if anything it should be less authoritative and have less relevance

Well this could be true. My posts gets indexed within 5-10 mins. It also depends on the quality of the website + authority+ how often you update your blog (the frequency matters).

FYI, there are some good blogs on blogspot. Don't stereotype all blogspot blogs as spam.

Seems to be a little quicker for bloggers post to show up in google blog search, probably the feed submission is more complete since they are under the same umbrella.

certain forum boards are seeing very quick indexing as well. Google does seem to have some priority crawling on certain type of sites.

You can enable priority crawling in google webmaster tools. Change crawl rate to faster. I guess this is enabled for authority site, i have been using it since last 8 months or so.

I have done this many a times in my experience of 5 years

I totally disagree. I have four blogger blogs and they get indexed fairly quick but I started two wordpress blogs last month on my own hosting and the posts get indexed much faster than my blogger blogs. Both blogs also got PR much faster than my blogger blogs.

it really depends on where you link those posts. if you can get 1st page on digg you'll have them indexed in a couple of hours and it doesn't matter if they're in blogger or wordpress BUT if you don't link them anywhere, and just wait for Google Bots to crawl on your website, those from Blogger will be indexed faster ;)

That's not true. I installed a Wordpress blog on my server and my posts usually get indexed in 5-10 minutes.

I wouldn't agree with this and I also don't believe PR has anything to do with how fast posts get indexed. I'm not sure if you mean 'proper Google' but my post on a PR1 Wordpress blog (very few backlinks too) was indexed in around 5 minutes after I'd posted on Google Blog Search.

Ok here is an example of how quick the post are done on my word press. I write the one in my recent blog spot this around 7:30. It is 12:57 PM and it shows up in Google that it was indexed 5 hours ago. I did nothing but post this and have it in my recent blog spot. I did one on my blogger blog about the same time and it says 6 hours ago. I really do not think it makes any difference at all.

Why would google list them slower when they run the servers and can do it fast? Google has the means to do it fast, so they do.

    Here's my blog URL:
    http://www.larrylim.net/seo-online-marketing/

There's no magic, i.e. at least not anything that I'm aware of. It's just set to automatically ping Technorati, Google Blog Search and a country meta blog. Anyway, I was as surprised when I found out how fast I got indexed.
