Social networking website Facebook made announcement on last Thursday that it has hired Ken Patchett as the manager of their new data center. The company revealed in this year�s beginning about the construction of its 117K sq feet data center in Prineville (Orgeon). Mr Ken previously served Google for the management of company�s data center in The Dalles, Oregon. Additionally, he held positions at Microsoft and Compaq as a part of the operations team of the company. Prineville people have been very welcoming to Facebook and the manager looks to move ahead to work with the company. The previous experience in The Dalles, there have been a proper presence in data center has given him immense of knowledge and he looks ahead to have similar results in Prineville. The energy efficient data center will be made online for the next year and there will be a continuation for the commitment for hiring many people for possible building up of the operation of the facility. This appointment marks the second member of Google data center staffing for being hired by the social networking website (Facebook). The engineer of data center of Facebook, Mr Michael, was also from the Google data center team.
