While adding keywords, I faced this error. Google API is throwing some exception. Please let me know what can be the issue?

    Google returned the following error:
Exception from service object: Invalid authorization key: pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Google API keys do not begin with pub-. That is an AdSense ID. Two totaly diffrent things.

You need to signup for a key at www.google.com/apis

nope.. the impressions must be increasing by inflow from other sites. It seems I m putting wrong thing in keyword finder. I need to sign up for API separately.... omg, so many sign ups for google itself. Can't they consolidate all in one.
