    Hi SEO Geeks
You would be surprised to know the fact but its true that Google Era is over is almost over. They dominated the internet search for years and given a new definition to the internet world with their innovative search engine.

Now its turn of other search engines to take away the market share from Google. Search engines like SearchMe.com and CUIL.com are rapidly expanding their network to catch the google buzz all across the world.

The search engines like searchme.com and cuil.com not only provide a visual and most contextual way of searching but gives a most user friendly experience.

My Advice to SEO friends is don't just focus on Google because google is today but above search engines are tomorrow for internet world and your most of the traffic will come from those search engines.

I agreed with you. Whether those two search engines are having the plan of running PPC just like that of GOOGLE?

I don't agree with you. The main reason behind this is Google Accounts for 55% of the Search worldwide so if you are wiling to escape from Google you might lose out on the 55% traffic volume.

Also, there are so many search engines that offer variant ways of user enhancement. But when it come to quality search results Google stands out.

I am no Google freak but when ever it comes to searching information .. Google has to be given priority.

Sorry but this sounds like nonsens to me.

There is nothing wrong with focusing on Google. Did you recently use cuil? It is not working at all. Just rubish results. Might be that they will have better algos than Google...in two or three years...

And what should I do now to optimize on a Searchengine that is not working well?

I don't think you can write off Google as yet. They are slowly creeping up all over the place, chrome being the latest entrant in the market and already claiming a good success rate.
As mentioned in previous post, you would end up loosing potential customers and business if you ignore the Giant at this stage.

    Cheers

:D For Search Engines that are not working get your site to sleep for the time being. As you can't do too much.

Getting back to my point. To compete with Google is great but to maintain quality is tough.

Never heard of searchme.com, so I just tried it.. waited about 20 seconds for the homepage to fully download. Searched for a keyword I rank #1 in Google, Yahoo, and MSN for, and did not find my site in the first ten pages. Nice idea, but no comparison to Google for relevancy.

And Cuil.com IMHO is just a joke that turns up more spam than relevant results.

Good luck to them both though... there going to need it :D

    Cheers

I don't know whether they will rule the Internet World in the long run. But at least it does now. Remember Yahoo was spilled over by Google. Since then there have been so many Search Engines but no one close to Google.

No chance. I don't know if you're trying to be controversial but if it's going to happen, it's not going to happen soon.

Cuil is hopeless. A bunch of irrelevant websites doesn't make a good search engine. Everyone is talking about human edited search but it won''t replace Google.

Look at the trouble people are having trying to remove Microsoft's dominance of the browser market. And Linux and Apple haven't managed to overcome their OS dominance. Google is in exactly the same position with search and advertising.

It's easy to predict the downfall of Google but it's just not going to happen.

Google is Improving More Quality search system in their Algorithms

so we cann't say anythings, they've just improved Chrome Browser for Google Huge fans.

I think, its harder to Beat Google in search system, we are getting most of Traffics from Google only.

Yea very interesting thread but hey... What are you BASING THIS STATEMENT ON?

I see no indications of Google getting weak? Or to put it another way, any other SE taking over Goolge?

I also disagree, not only does google still have the largest market share for the searches, they also just rolled out an operating system for cell phones, so it is not unreasonable to assume that in 1-2 years most cellphones will be using google search as well.

Strange use of the word 'fact' there - your opinion and one that not many would agree with.
Visuals and gimmicks aren't what matters in a search - RELEVANCY is all that really matters. The challenge for any new search engine is to find a new algorithm that serves up results that searchers find relevant and is hard to manipulate - nobody's doing it better than google yet.

I think the google era will go on for a long time, they are expanding their market every day and getting more market share, also they are releasing a lot of new products
