The other day someone posted an email address to report spam to google. Does anyone remember what it was? (I've searched the forum but can't find it). Thanks! -jay
I think its useless because I reported spam to google more than 20 times and it seems like they don't care about this. I can still see the reported sites ranking well in google with loads of hidden keywords and content.
They do get round to it, it just takes a long time. I've seen SERPS change after people have reported spam. As with all SEO just be parient
It may be more constructive to offer reasons rather than just 'this is spam'. By that I mean if a site is appearing more than once in the top 10 results, then you could frame your report along those lines.
The form does offer a list of "reasons" that you can select from: Hidden text or links Misleading or repeated words Page does not match Google's description Cloaked page Deceptive redirects Doorway pages Duplicate site or pages Other (specify) Interesting to see what practices Google consider as spam. And these are probably not all of them, but if they are in that list, they have to be on the top of the no-no's. .
Yes Jay, just how does one email Google? A 'travel' and apparent time-share company called Astar of Tampa Florida has generated a huge number of postings from its agrieved and ripped-off victims about its dishonesty and scams concerning 'competition winners' and also in its schemes where you make the initial approach via their posted advert. Why then does Google allow Astar to have an advert on its page when you open Yahoo.mail. Or perhaps it is nothing to do with Google but everything to do with Yahoo. So again. just how do you email Google and Yahoo for that matter? Can anyone please advise? Thanks. Grillus
Grillus again. Yes tey contact for Google was given by Tapanti and it is a similar process with Yahoo.mail Thanks
Ive submit to google already. But I want to ask: how long times google will treat the problem which I submitted?
