In case anyone wants to make sightseeing points for people using Google Earth like Google has here: http://earth.google.com/sites/ It's super easy... they are just zipped XML files. I made a couple for fun: http://www.digitalpoint.com/~shawn/2005/07/google-earth-kmz-files.html I would imagine it's going to become really popular with real estate agents.
Am I missing something....I get nothing while viewing on Netscape. [idiot] OK I should have looked at google 1st install load kmz [/idiot] Ian
I totally agree, it's very convenient to show others a place, I believe it will be popular for traveling sites too.
That thing is pretty crazy. I am not sure how comfortable I am with all of this stuff being freely available to the public these days. Any donkey with a GPS receiver, a laptop and internet access can download a 3D map of their location in great detail. Now I have to order that GPS receiver I was looking at the other day...
