Google dropped more than 350 indexed pages of my site.

    I really don't have any idea why this happened. I did nothing SEO related, just plan text pages in PHP format.
    Until last week, I had 440+ pages on Google and now they have gone down to 92.
    What gives? Are they trimming out the sites with same content (it's an online Bible site)?
    Of course because of that, my traffic from Google has dropped as well.
    An update or panelty? I am confused :confused: and sad :mad:

    Yes, a BIble site might well be excluded from the index for duplicate content. Why would google want to list 100 sites which all have the same content? I'd advise you to create unique bible-quote collections ad heavily promote those. That way your site will stand apart from the rest, get some good links to it and in the end even your primary content might just get listed again.

    Aim at unique content for each
    you must follow this policy as retaining good stats...

    it may be a temp. process. if you did not loose any backlinks, i'm sure that google will index your pages again:)
