Google Dropped Me?

Google dropped my site and I'm certainly not violating anything they said not to do. I had been listed for the last 3 weeks or so. Now I have even more backlinks and I'm gone. What can I do to get back on? I have a bunch of backlinks including an entry in dmoz.

The way google works, is a "freshbot" comes around and checks out sites. New sites are given a bit of a boost at first. Then the site disappears for a while until it shows up in the regular database. The disappearance for my site when I was looking was about two days on three or four occassions. Then it stabilized with its search position. To be honest I don't remember how long it took for my rankings to stabilize, but it was a lot quicker than what I expected.

Thank you very much for the information nevetS, I thought I was doing something wrong or against the rules, but I couldn't think of what it could possibly be.

Doesn't always take 4 months. Sometime goolge spite it back up within a month. Be patient.

Google always drop down a site but then stabilize site position. What was problem with your site? Has it loss PR or keywords also?
