I know I know!!!! But, do you???? PageRank' or PR is and always will be something that webmasters or website owners refuse to get over even way after the feature was completely removed from Google's webmaster toolbar, just a little over 2 years ago! SHEEESH!!!!!!! It was time back then, its still time now and it's time in the future to look at more relevant features like CTR's, bounce rates, ROI and Conversion rates that actually give you the performance on your website's pages... DUH!!!!!!!! Need I really explain anything else here? Don't know how many times this has been said or will be said again, but I will leave you and anyone else with this nice little "tidbit". "If not PageRank or PR, what the hell should I be focusing on in order to track my websites' success and failures?" I'm sure for those that don't know, they are thinking exactly that. If you don't already use Google Analytics or any other website / webpage tracking services to really asses your site's performance, you are definitely well, well behind the crack cocaine (EIGHT BALL) and now would be one HELLAVA time to get started. Leave the PAGERANK crap alone! Good Luck! GC
pagerank will always be remembered for some as it was one of the first ways of showing improvements to there sites. google made to many mistakes with it to leave it running it was a great concept but was flawed from the begining. As for analytics they to will fail as more and more people use technology to block these intrusions of privacy. The software will soon be run along side your firewall etc as everydays passes this becomes a bug that people cant stand to allow to be there. They cant help but hate to be followed around the internet. Where will google go then thats my thinking.
Here's the deal..... Get off the PageRank bandwagon and move on to what counts the most... TRAFFIC and SALES!
Another thing to consider is that the PR you see in the toolbar may not be the real PR. The real PageRank is called "internal Page Rank" and Google doesn't reveal what this is.
