What do you think the chance is that a multi billion dollar company which relies on internet revenue is down?
There is something wrong with your computer or IP connection. They have thousands of servers to keep them up for a very very long time.
Maybe this will explain your problem? http://www.1stsearchenginerankings.com/2006/09/22/we-are-sorry-wwwgooglecom-cannot-be-found/
This is no surprise. Believe it or not, even microsoft's web page go's down. I mean they have alternate and backup servers. But when you're main base of operations goes out, you get the same problem that google is having.
This problem always happened, nobody knows it is a virus on your computer or a hole in Google. Many of my friends and I have the following problem: after turning to other non english search engines and then when you type in www.google.com, it will not be reachable. Wait for about 1.5 hours, and try again, google will come back. It happened many times in last year, but for this year, only 2 times.
