Any idea what the long term implications of the new google doubleclick acquisition? Will adwords advertisers now we able to use rich media ads, and with adsense publishers have the ability to display these ads? Will google have rich media ads in its search results now?

    Any clues or thoughts?

No, the services will still be completely seperate, this would be the logical smart buisness move. This would be their rich media advertising program alternative to adwords.

google has said that they want to integrate rich media with adwords.
what that means you can manage your doubleclick campaigns in adwords.
the ads wont show in adwords and no, don't expect to see rich media in google.com.
