google doesn't recognize ANY of my links.... why??

    I am pretty new to this SEO thing so bear with me. After doing much optimization to my site itself (keywords, alt/meta tags, etc) I am now focusing on a linking campaign. Through some link popularity checks I have about 500 incoming links. However when this is broken down but the number of links recognize for each search engine, I get a whopping ZERO from google. Many of my links are from high ranking, high PR sites. What gives???

    Any ideas on how this can be improved or ways to get google to recognize them??

    When did you get these links? You probally just need to be patient.
    What is shown is just a sampling so it will not be as inclusive as say MSN/Yahoo.

    Google takes a while before she begins to list your backlinks. I presume yahoo and MSN are listing some for you?

    MSN shows 368, Yahoo only shows 54, Altavista-56. Google- big zero. :)

    I have the same experience in BLs
    msn:649, y:799, altavista:134, G:12
    site is running about one year, maby the google BL's will come in time..
