google doesn't like my new site?

Hi all, I'm a part time webmaster and am a bit confused about a site I just put up in early december. About a week and a half ago googlebot visited 2 or 3 times and crawled only the index page, bit the listing has yet to show up in google. The site is:

    commodity-trading-software.com
If someone could take a look at the page and see if there is a reason google may have blacklisted it or something it would be great. Could it be the affiliate logo links on the homepage?

Also, I have backlinks from the following sites:
    consensus-inc.com
    smotass.net
    TradingAlchemy.com
    apackardtrading.com
    adtrader.com
    options-trading-net.com
    1source4stocks.com
    1st-futures-broker.com.
    fibmarkets.com
    sniper.at
    1st-options-broker.co.uk
    investorlinks.com
    futuresweb.com
    financiallinksonline.com
    daytrading.nu
    brightcommoditybroker.com

which are all very much related,
also listed in the following directories

    goguides
    gimpsy
    botw
    bluefind
    sevenseek
uncoverthenet (thank u guys for pointing this one out)
    thisisouryear
    wowdirectory

Is that not enough to be indexed by google?

    Thank u very much!
    Frank

You probably just need to give it more time. I know that's hard, but that's the deal with Google these days. BTW, nice clean-looking site :)

I agree with exam, this is just a matter of waiting, especially since the way google has been behaving as of lately.

You're talking about only 2 or 3 weeks since the site went live. That's nothing for a new site in search engine time.

According to a whois, your domain didn't even exist until 26-nov-2004... barely a month ago.

I think your site is just having a sandbox effect sitting on it. Read more about it here

Your site might be banned by Google. Didn't find any result for link or cache.

    1. Did you buy an expired domain? If so, you might have inherited the ban.

    2. Do you link to bad sites? Sites that try to trick google? Do you yourself try to trick the googlebot? This could cause a ban.

    3. I read somewhere that too many hyphens in the domain name got penalized by Google. You have two in your domain name which should be fine but maybe Google puts you in the sandbox for longer.

Google seems to start slow - it may visit your site once a month at first. Then, it depends.

I would also say that it never helps when your HTML doesn't match the declaration - your DOCTYPE says XHTML, but the source isn't close to be compliant. Your character sets don't match either (utf-8 vs. iso-8859-1).

    Check this:

    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...automatically)&doctype=(detect+automatically)

Think about this way - a confused crawler isn't much useful.
