This is strange, apparently Google doesn't like my blog meta descriptions. What I find strange is that my meta description is consistent, iow, repetitive. When I click to expand to read the details it lists pages from my site which contain my meta desc. which is 301 (note, nothing to do with redirect, it just happens to be three hundred and one pages) So what is going on here? I'd appreciate input from the SEO experts. How can my meta desc. not be repetitive? Google doesn't like short repetitive meta descriptions. Google prefers that each page of your website has its own specific meta description. The same meta description in all pages is not what Google wants. If you cannot create a different meta description for each page, it might even be better not to have any meta description. Jean-Luc
thanks this is for a blog so the meta description is just a short, keyword rich but not spammy sentence any wp plugins that would let me change the meta description for my pages? even if I do change it, most of my pages will have to have the same meta description, right? which brings us to the same strange situation.
But as far as i know google always prefer unique descriptions and for one blog it is obviosu u will have one only but with SEO tool you can have seperate meta description for each of your post
It seems like you're blog is creating the tags for meta-description, but doesn't add any value to it. I would go with Jean-Luc's suggestion: dont use meta-description at all (if its possible).
