Is it true that Google Doesn't Index Phphbb Forum Pages? I read it in some forum that we gotta install some program for that. How do we check if Google is indexing our pages?
no, it is not true, unless your site banned from Google you can check your listings site:yourdomain.com site:www.yourdomain.com
program? are you talking about a sitemap? a sitemap can make a significant difference for large sites. my forum had around 12000 pages indexed. after I submitted a sitemap (to Google webmaster tools), the number increased to 17000+.
Yeah, Google indexes all so that of rewriting URLs to get a site indexed is a myth. Google indexes rewritten URLs and dynamic URLs alike, the difference it that dynamic might not be at the top of the indexing.
phpbb is the only forum script that is purely tableless css - this is one advantage over other scripts and will help get the forum indexed better, so googlebot doesn't miss any pages. No other forum script can give you that as they are all table based designs. If your site is not getting indexed properly, it could be for number of reasons, but none of them has to do with using phpbb. This can only help.
phpbb3 is great actually, I haven't made any SEO with my forum and it's been ranking good and Google crawls regularly
